Cable and drum steering uses a wire rope wound around a drum on the helm, then run around the boat on pulleys to the outboard or the rudder. In this video I replace the cable: winding it onto the drum the right way, routing it through the pulleys, and tensioning it to the spring attachment with turnbuckles.
