In this video I go through tying up a small boat, both to a floating pontoon and to a fixed wharf in a tidal area. Tying to a cleat, leaving enough slack in the lines for the tide to rise and fall, and dropping an anchor to hold the boat off the wharf. I also show how a spring line stops the boat moving along the wharf, and how to use one to spring off when you leave.
